Who We Are
-
Our Mission
Our mission is to locate suitable adoptive homes for homeless and displaced Golden Retrievers. While these Goldens are in foster care, we provide shelter, food, companionship, and medical attention.
We are also committed to educating the public on all aspects of dog ownership. This includes care-giving, population control, proper diet and exercise, and the importance of regular veterinarian visits.

Our Story
Prior to 2000, we were a committee within the Fort Detroit Golden Retriever Club Rescue Service, a club still in operation today as a social club for Golden Retriever Enthusiasts!
In 2000 we broke away from FDGRC and established a 501(c)3 organization, Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan (aka GRRoM). Our earliest adoption on record is from 1991. Since then, we have rescued close to 4,000 Goldens and placed them in loving homes.
