ATTENTION FOSTERS:
You are invited to attend GRRoM's Foster Training Class!
RSVP: Betty Curran, bcurran905@aol.com (734-678-3517) or Andrea Krausmann, grrom.ark@aol.com (313-598-5652)
What You Will Learn from trainer, Michelle Jackson:
How to identify in-depth dog body language from what to look for in a relaxed, comfortable dog as well as in-depth coverage of signs of fear, stress and anxiety.
How to identify subtle signs that come before aggression and what to do if you see them.
How to best help set your new foster dogs up to succeed in your home and beyond.
Best ways to approach unwanted behaviors.
What should be done BEFORE dog introductions by teaching how to set up a Communication Pathway (Establishing markers).
Discussions on Attention (eye contact) and LEAVE IT as well as Self Control Techniques such as step downs, timeouts, and startle tools. These 4 things are really fundamental for all dogs and owners/fosters.
There will also be time for Q&A
We highly recommend your attendance at this workshop. Our new fosters and those who have been fostering are invited. This will be a "people only" training session, no dogs. We will address all the pertinent issues our fosters face with their fostered Goldens.
GRRoM wants to provide as much help and training as possible for fostering confidentially and successfully.
Once you have signed up, we will email handouts pertaining to our training session. You may print out these forms and bring with you.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Golden Wishes,
Betty Curran
President of GRRoM
