About:
Written by her foster family 5 weeks after being rescued:
“Annie Grace was rescued from an Ohio Puppy Mill in December of 2023. Originally known as Momma Bear, Annie Grace transitioned from 5 years of crated life as a puppy mill breeding machine, to a foster home. It has not been easy for her.
She is afraid of noises, quick movements, hardwood floors, corners she can’t see around, and the outdoors .
She is afraid to have anyone sit behind her.
She is ashamed to use the bathroom, and will only release on a pee pad when alone. If I enter the room, she will stop going and scoot away to hide.
Sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes to coax her to walk from one spot to another.
And yet…..she is lonely, and whimpers for attention. The whimpers have been known to morph into desolating howls.
In spite of her tragic life, she craves love and wants to return it.
She LOVES her stuffy toys and her comfy soft beds.
She LOVES to lay near us and have her ears gently rubbed.
She LOVES cheese.
Annie Grace has a long road ahead of her. Each step forward can be cancelled by one small scare.
In her wagging tail I see a golden heart just longing to be healed.
My wish for her is that someday her fears will fade and she will find the loving family she deserves.”
