Cooper’s Update from his Family
Adopted - May 2023
Written by his Adoptive Family:
“Cooper is currently doing very well with the family, including Grandkids and neighbors! He has had 2 vet visits (well care checkup) and has gone from 72# to his current weight of 61# where the vet would like him to stay. His Sister (Lydia - GLGRR rescue/ adoption) and him have bonded very well on their daily adventures, wrestling matches, and squirrel/chipmunk hunting adventures during our walks in our backyard. Cooper loves his car rides and wants to be with us anywhere we go.!
Cooper has been a great find and really a diamond in the rough. He's laid back most of the time, very little barking and begging, and no accidents in the house. He was fairly easy to train and is great on the leash and good on recall. He has learned to sit, stay, fetch and return, and drop. He LOVES his stuffed animals and will meet you at the door every time with one in his mouth.
One quirk with Cooper is that we have learned to hide pillows and put up dog beds during the day as he does like to beat them up until the stuffing comes out. He is on his third bed but we think we have outsmarted him on this trait (so Far!).
Thank you again for this opportunity!”
