Here is Megan and Matthew Newport, Duck, and of course lamb chop!!

Duck adopted the Newport Family!

Megan and Matthew are very excited to have Duck joining their family. They even invited other family members over to meet him! They rescued their previous Golden from the shelter with no paperwork so they are thankful for all of Duck’s medical history. Duck will have a much needed backyard to play in!

Duck is a beautiful 50-ish lb healthy golden boy. He is a little thin, but slowly gaining weight. He is fun loving, playful, energetic and could spend hours playing fetch. He will require daily walks and running in the yard, so a physical fence is preferred, however, other forms of containment may be considered. Duck walks well on a leash and loves his walks. He is very smart and knows a host of commands already. He is potty trained and mainly crated when we are not at home. Duck is a gentle soul with good manners and appreciates anything you do for or with him. He wags his tail with excitement in the morning to greet you and loves choosing toys to play with like a kid on Christmas morning!

Duck would do best in an active family that has children over the age of 8 and no other dogs or cats. He rides well in a car, especially when we are going to a park, and jumps in the backseat without a problem. 

Duck is very smart and challenging him could be very rewarding whether it be hunting, dock diving, agility, barn hunt, nosework, or any of the other popular dog sports. This guy is a real treat to have around and will flourish in his forever home.
