About:
Ranger is a sweet 3-year-old male who was surrendered because his family could no longer take care of him. He weighs 60 pounds and still has lots of puppy energy! He loves being outside, chasing squirrels and rolling in the snow. He loves to play with toys and will throw them up in the air and catch them. Ranger loves to chew and tends to deconstruct toys to get the squeaker out but is easily distracted with a more appropriate item to chew on. He doesn’t like being left alone and will follow you throughout the house. He would love to sleep on your bed with you but has adjusted well to sleeping on a dog bed in his foster parents’ bedroom. Ranger will need some work with socialization. He is frightened of other dogs and will bark and pull if he sees them while walking. He also needs practice walking on a leash. He gets along great with his German Shorthaired Pointer foster sister, but it took a couple days to get used to her. Cats are unknown. He is very smart and has already learned to ring a bell to go outside. He knows basic commands and will shake your hand for a treat. A physically fenced yard would be ideal but other forms of containment will also be considered. Ranger has experience with older children. Obedience training is always recommended but not mandatory. Ranger would do well with a novice or experienced owner.
