3-5 year old Female
Status:
Currently Being Fostered to Adopt
About:
“Blondie Streetheart” was picked up from the road at 3:00 AM on the morning of Thursday, August 1st, 2024, near Flint MI. She was laying in the street with her pit bull friend. The police picked up both dogs and took them to Streetheart rescue who doesn't have space for her right now. The nearby animal control isn't taking dogs because they have an outbreak of parvo.
This cute, sweet girl was teaming with fleas and has probably never had her nails trimmed. She also had a horrible ear infection and had probably been exposed to mange, since the pit bull showed signs of mange. Streetheart rescue has treated her with cap star and flea spray to control the fleas. As they didn’t have space for her, she was put in a crate in a barn with fans but no AC.
We knew we had to act quickly, and quickly we did! As soon as GRRoM was contacted by Streetheart, we went into action calling upon our registered foster families as well as putting a plea out on social media for someone to bring her home ASAP. The outpouring of support was overwhelming, and we quickly identified a foster home who is planning to officially adopt Blondie, now named “Sally”, once GRRoM has covered her medical expenses to get her into tip top shape.
