Adopted as of 11/22/23! He is settling in well with his new family!

In August of 2024, Tallus got a new kitten! He is so gentle and loving of his new sibling!

Are you looking for a dog who wiggles with happiness each time he sees you? Tallus is a beautiful 84-pound boy in the prime of his life who came to us as an owner surrender.  He loves butt scratches, belly rubs and going through your legs (aka the carwash)!  Tallus has very good house manners. Being raised with an Aussie Cattle dog and an American Foxhound, he loved to play with them and be chased.  He gets along well with his Golden Retriever foster brother and they also like to run around and wrestle. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood with time for sniffing.  Tallus knows basic commands and has very good recall. He walks decently on a leash but could use more training regarding pulling and distractions. His previous owner says that Tallus prefers to be fed by himself. Tallus’ adoptive family needs to be experienced and committed to giving him daily walks, attention, and enrichment. Children need to be 10 years or over; no cats please.  A physical fence is preferred, but other forms of containment may be considered. He would do well as the only dog or having other large dogs as siblings.  Come meet this boy who just wants to be loved and make him part of your family!
