Tracy Bowman

Co-Chair of Fundraising

I first became aware of GRRoM when a neighbor was on a walk with a Golden, which was not her own dog, a Labrador.  After hearing her story and involvement with this rescue, I knew I wanted to get involved. It came at the perfect time - Our Golden passed away a few years before and our son Nick had just left for college.

Within days, literally, of signing up to become a foster with GRRoM, “Nick the dog” came into our lives. An abused, neglected but beautiful 10 month old. That was it. We were foster failures. It was always kind of funny because whenever we talked about Nick, we had to preface “Nick the dog” or “Nick the human” just so there wasn’t any confusion!

Since Nick’s (the dog) passing , of oral melanoma in the throat, I have become more involved with GRRoM as the co-chair of fundraising and found a passion for fostering.
