Clarke is a 77-pound Golden Doodle. Clarke is very smart, a dream to walk, and knows many commands including “play dead” and “place.” He is crate trained but is also trustworthy when left alone loose in the house. Clarke is a sweetheart. When it is down time, he turns into a snuggle bug. When it is play time, he turns into a fetching machine extraordinaire and he may ask you to play by standing near his chuck-it and whining. Clarke does have a history of resource guarding food and toys with children and other dogs. He can also be reactive around some dogs. He has lived with two cats before and lives with a cat in his foster home but introducing them was a process that took several days. Clarke needs a home without children or children over 12 and owners that will do a slow introduction with existing pets, if applicable. Positive reinforcement obedience training may be required for novice families to assure his success. A physical fence is not required. Other types of containment are acceptable. If you’re looking for your new best friend, look no further than Clarke—he’s a total catch!
