Help Support Flynn’s Dental Procedure

Status:

Retired Foster as of 2021

Meet Flynn…

He is a three and half years old Golden boy who was born with a condition called Hydrocephalus (too much spinal fluid leaks into his skull causing brain swelling and deterioration) and as a result has numerous medical and developmental problems including:

  • Large, dome-shaped skull

  • Wide-set eyes

  • Abnormal eye position

  • Mostly blind

  • Incontinent

  • Difficulty learning

  • Difficulty eating and drinking

  • Pancreatitis

  • Walk funny/twirl

  • Side-effects from medications

  • Weak left side affects standing and dragging paw.

Since Flynn was 10 months old he has received the continued support of GRROM, his Vet, Dr. Tokar, and his Caregiver, Marti Hurford.  This team effort enables Flynn to live a happy and so far, a seizure-free life, even though it won’t be as long as other Golden Retrievers live.

Currently Flynn is in need of dental work and because his condition is considered high risk, Dr Tokar will be taking extra precautions with preliminary labs and films before he is put under anesthesia. We are reaching out to all for help covering Flynn’s Dental Procedure which will run approximately $1400.00.
