About:
GIOIA (Italian - pronounced Joy-uh)
This fun and funny girl is ready for her new family! Gioia is 60+ pounds of love, snuggles, and playful energy! She loves to walk and explore and play in the yard. Indoors, she wants to be in the same room with her people and would definitely prefer that someone is home with her most of the time! Gioia recently had surgery but is healthy now. Her foster will be happy to discuss that with you on the phone.
She knows some basic commands and has the potential to be even greater with your patience and consistent training. Therefore, a positive reinforcement training class is required with proof of paid enrollment due at time of adoption. You will have so much fun with Gioia that you may want to pursue some of the popular dog sports like agility, rally, scent work, barn hunt, etc.! A physical fence is preferred but other forms of containment may be considered providing the family is committed to giving her lots of walks and exercise to keep her happy. Children in her new family must be 10 or older; cats are an unknown. Gioia needs to be an only dog as she has exhibited some issues sharing possessions and food.
