Murphy, Previously Known as Buddy
6 month old male puppy
Status:
Adopted as of 4/30/24, and now known as Murphy, by his foster family with brother Oliver!
About:
Buddy is about 60 lbs. and he was rescued from an Indiana puppy mill with his companion Shadow. He is already showing true Golden Retriever resilience as he learns what a good life looks and feels like. He is learning basic commands and responding well to positive reinforcement. He loves balls and being brushed. He appeared to have no prior exposure to grass but now loves to romp and wrestle in his foster’s yard. He is curious and learning the value of being praised. Like many puppy mill dogs, he hates the crate. The foster is working on this. He is smart and learning quickly. Buddy had no previous experience with leash walking so will need continued work on this. Positive reinforcement training is mandatory with proof of enrollment required at time of adoption. A physical fence is required, and children must be over the age of 10 due to unknown history. Interactions with cats are unknown.
