About:
Sadie is a healthy, loving, and beautiful 68.5 lbs. girl with a beautiful coat! She is well trained and understands and listens to basic commands like sit, stay and come. Inside the house, Sadie is very obedient and will try to stay near her humans. However, she is respectful of boundaries and will sit quietly in a nearby room for hours if needed. She does not chew and will lie down quietly when her humans eat. At night, she likes to sleep on her dog bed or by the door. She only gets on the bed when invited! She is completely potty trained and will sleep through the night. Sadie is also capable of staying alone in the house for around 4-6 hours. She loves her tug toys and balls, and likes to bring her tug rope to her human and play with them, as well as fetch outside. Sadie likes car rides. Outside the house, Sadie is a very active and fun-loving pup who is good on leash and will walk for hours. Sadie would be a good fit for a family that is active and can take her for at least two walks or runs every day. Sadie requires a fenced yard and any children in her new family must be at least six years old. She is reactive to female dogs and if she sees one outside while walking, she will growl and pull on the leash. She may be fine with male dogs and cats are an unknown. She loves to greet other humans while walking and sometimes growls at certain people but will calm down if talked to gently. Overall, Sadie is a gentle, loving, and eager to please dog who will bring lots of joy to her humans. Her new family must be committed to showing her lots of affection, giving her lots of activity outside and working with her to help her overcome her fears of female dog While a positive reinforcement dog class is not mandatory, it might be a good way to desensitize her to female dogs, or for you to learn how to manage it.
If you are interested in Sadie and meet all her requirements, please give her foster a call to setup a visit with this sweetie. Fostered with Preetam and Vishaka, 864-518-4899 (Auburn Hills).
